Had I known that the road is so long, so hard ........
I do not know.
But knowing what he gave me joy and meetings ....
I know it was my destiny.
To discover and interpret the world in all its details, his its diversity of colors, forms and atmosphere during my numerous stays and travel abroad, I eventually developed naturally a plastic parallel universe marked of femininity and whim which shapes diverts(hijacks), suggests and frees the human body. The sixth continent.
The sixth continent which the imagination redefines, deforms, diverts to be otherwise translated when it becomes vase, perch, landscape, flower, animal or prison ….
This sixth continent summarizes my approach today.
It fits completely in my freely dreamed or idealized perception the human shape which expresses in the ink, the watercolor or the acrylic on any paper supports.
The water is the ally of my work to express the moment, the emotion, by the speed and the spontaneity of the movement which drives it to obtain the variations and the fusion of pigments. This technique allows me to sublimate the transparency by the addition of veil of acrylic by touches, light of pastel or rings of charcoal.
As for my pallet, modulated by the ochre suffocated(suppressed) of my stays in Egypt, by the vitality of blues and greens of the Caribbean, the red ochre and the ink in China, the steel blue American east grey of cities, grows rich of all the spaces which live in me and of the place or I saw.
